Welcome to the
Sence Valley Volunteers Website
The Sence Valley Volunteers are a diverse group of individuals with a common interest. We welcome new volunteers to help out around the site and to assist with planning and running task days and events at Sence Valley Forest Park in Leicestershire. Sence Valley is part of the National Forest.
We have lots of plans for 2014 including funding and installing Tern rafts, which act as a safe haven for these birds. We are also planning to renew the information boards in the park as well as carrying out lots of varied work on our volunteer task days.
We are proud to announce that during 2013 we funded and facilitated the installation of a disabled access ramp to the Sence Valley bird hide.
The left over trees from our 2013 Christmas tree sales were donated to Twycross Zoo for the meerkats to enjoy!
Sence Valley Volunteers are now on Twitter. If you would like to follow us, we can be found at http://twitter.com/#!/SenceVpark
The Sence Valley Volunteers are proud to announce that we were presented with the 2011 Green Footprints Challenge Award, winning the 'Partnerships and Community Groups' section.
